OUR FRANCHISEES TESTIFY – JÉRÉMIE LORRAIN

JÉRÉMIE LORRAIN OPENED HIS GIGAFIT FRANCHISE IN THE PRIVENCE-ALPES-CÔTE D’AZUR REGION AND MORE PRECISELY IN FRÉJUS, IN JUNE 2018. A LITTLE MORE THAN A YEAR AFTER HIS START-UP, HE SHARES WITH US HIS FEEDBACK ON HIS CHOICES AND RESULTS.

Why did you want to open a fitness club ?


“I have always been a sports and fitness enthusiast since I was young and have always enjoyed the activity. I therefore wanted to reconcile leisure and professional development by opting to open a gym. It is also an attractive sector because the turnover is quite predictable in advance but also because of the pleasure and well-being that we transmit to our customers. It is necessary to say it, we do not sell powder to people, but a real daily release.

Why did you choose GIGAFIT to help you in this venture ?


“Faced with the new challenges of the changing industry, I initially wanted to create my own brand, but GIGAFIT allowed me to carry out my project in a more serene manner in the face of multiple competitors. For me, GIGAFIT represented the most adequate model and similar to my convictions of the modern fitness; namely beautiful services for a fair price with an impactful communication. It is also a franchise that grows, innovates and listens to its actors, hence my interest in this solid and ambitious project alongside with them.”

Today, where are you in your project ?


“Today, our GIGAFIT club has been installed in a Design format (700m2) in Fréjus for more than a year on a takeover of an existing independent club. The team is composed of 4 employees – of which I am a part – and 4 coaches who provide some classes and private coaching for members.

More than 1,200 members currently trust us and we do our best to offer them the best in terms of equipment: a high-quality MATRIX fitness platform, LESMILLS group classes (RPM, Pump, Combat) and a functional area (TRX, boxing), in addition to additional GIGAFIT services (GF One, Yanga, Welock, Wifi…). Recently, we have been accentuating our services even more to differentiate ourselves with the creation of a real Nutrition space, InBody monitoring and other projects.”

Did you find your growth fast ?


“Our development has been rapid. I think it can be explained by a good study of the local fabric, a modern offer and a strong digital communication. In addition, constant innovation and process monitoring have allowed us to increase our performance. Most of our local competitors have had to change their strategy following our implementation (closures, changes of brands, changes in price lists, etc.), which proves our efficiency despite our off-center location.”

What do you enjoy most about your job today ?


“The most rewarding part of my job is the positive feedback from customers about the cleanliness of the store and the overall offer that satisfies a large part of the population. Well OK, being able to work out in the workplace is also part of the best of it!”

What would you say to people who want to start their own business but are still hesitant to open a Gigafit gym ?


“Opening a GIGAFIT gym is still a business creation, so you have to be persistent and determined. The path is not easy, but the outcome is worth the risk. However, GIGAFIT offers a turnkey concept that can be adapted to any type of catchment area and allows everyone to add their local and/or emotional preferences. The most important criterion for success remains the location.

In addition, thanks to the control of expenses and the investment in communication recommended by the GIGAFIT team, commercial performance is bound to be high.

Would you have any advice for these people ?


“Follow the recommendations of the GIGAFIT team, if the concept works, it means that the methods are good! You also need to know your local market by heart: players, leading brands, population, road flows… Do not hesitate to visit existing GIGAFIT clubs to understand the daily immersion.”

What are your plans for the future ?


“Our goal is to maintain our guideline: to offer high quality services and to innovate against other local brands. Later on, we would also like to consider the creation of a second club in the area!”
